A wall mount bathroom sink, like a wall mount bathroom cabinet, is the best option for you if your average-sized apartment has a limited space bathroom.
A wall mount bathroom sink may not have to offer you anything in the form of storage space, however, being affixed directly to the wall with the help of screws, it frees up floor space. As far as shortage of storage space is concerned, you will introduce some wall cabinets and open shelves in the bath.
Many people are averse to the idea of having a wall mount bathroom sink because the piping beneath the drain shows. This, however, is not as serious a problem as unnecessary space blockage.

If it is the aesthetic concern that is bothering you, solve this problem by installing completely finished bottle traps or p-traps instead of normal piping. P-traps and bottle traps made from shiny steel and synthetic materials are available in the market.
The space saving feature apart, wall mount bathroom sinks are of great help for people with restricted movement. With a wall mount bathroom sink, one can take care of ones needs even when seated on a wheel chair. This way the person will not be entirely dependent on others.
Your choices of wall mount sinks
You literally have unlimited choices in wall mount sinks. You have single sinks and double sinks as well as the special space-saver corner models. Again, there are these space-economy models with narrow sink widths. These models, though narrow, have adequate depth.
Renowned sanitary-ware manufacturers have launched wall mount bathroom sinks of various shapes and sizes. You will also get ample choices in color.
Mostly wall mount faucets are used with wall-mount sinks; however, such a sink may even have faucet holes in the bracket or on the countertop.
Tips on the Installation of a Wall Mount Bathroom Sink
Before you get on with your work, it is essential that you go through the details contained in the manufacturer's installation manual. Nonetheless, wall mounted sinks are usually installed in two different ways – they are either directly screwed to the special frame or bolted to a metal bracket, which is then affixed to the wall frame.
No matter which of these installation methods you choose, you must take special care to provide adequate support to the wall mounted bathroom sinks. The support requirements of a wall mount bathroom sink depend on the size of the sink and the height at which it is mounted.
The Real Job
To start with, it would be wise to remove a small portion of the drywall, as this will give you easy access to the wall studs. Once you have removed the drywall, insert 2-by-6 or 2-by-8 blocking between wall studs. Thereafter, with the help of 3 1/2-inch galvanized common nails, secure the blocking to the studs and repair the wall.
With the wall-blocking ready, you will need to place the sink or the metal sink frame and mark the screw-holes on the wall. Drill holes for inserting lag screws or any other snap-clasp that comes packed with the sink.
Get to work with the sink – fixing the faucets, the drain-outlet, etc. and then secure the sink (or for that matter the frame to which the sink is attached) to the wall blocking. Before you finally tighten all the screws, make sure that the sink is level.
Connect the P-trap as well as the drain arm to the drain-outlet. Connecting the two water-supply tubes to the shutoff valves will put the wall mount bathroom sink in the working mode.
